I've been restoring vintage license plates since 2006 and really enjoy it. It's come a long way since then. It's also rewarding to see my restorations on the hottest rides across the country. This is not just a side hobby for me, this is how I make a living.
To be brief on some of my approach to repair, I do any metal repair needed to the plate after blasting it. I straighten out the edges and can seal holes. I can also remove light denting and even replace small/medium pieces. The back of the plate is refinished to original just like the front.
I do accept any state or country plate from 1903-1975. I have accurate information for correct colors on all states. Premium grade automotive paints carry out the job, not some cheap, rattle-can spray paint from your local hardware store.
I DO NOT MAKE DUPLICATE PLATES!
Prices
The charge is $90 per plate for a complete restoration of a single plate. This includes motorcycle plates too. Identical pairs are $175. These prices include light metalwork and shipping with delivery confirmation from USPS. Extra holes and cracks cost extra but are not a problem to fix. Just ask for an estimate. Canadian orders add $25 to cover shipping.
Current wait time is around 6 weeks.
Payment is not required until the plates are finished.
Anything outside of a license plate will need to be emailed to me along with a good picture.
